Job Description: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at PEEPL Automation, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). You will be responsible for managing design projects from concept to detailed designing, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and providing innovative solutions to meet customer requirements. Your expertise in 3D designing tools and prior experience in special purpose machine design or assembly machines will be critical to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle end-to-end design projects, from concept generation to detailed mechanical designing of SPMs.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and specifications.

3. Develop innovative and efficient designs to meet customer needs and industry standards.

4. Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using Solidworks or other design software.

5. Perform design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate the feasibility and functionality of designs.

6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical standards during the design process.

7. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure the smooth production and assembly of machines.

8. Conduct design reviews and provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.

9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in design tools, methodologies, and technologies.

10. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution.

• Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design.

• At least 2 years of experience in machine design or mechanical design, preferably with packing machines/special purpose machines/assembly machines.

• Proficiency in Solidworks or any other 3D design software is essential.

• Solidworks certification will be considered an advantage.

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to overcome design challenges.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on schedule and within budget.
