Manual Thermoforming Machine

Rigid Blister Tray Forming and Cutting System for Custom Packaging

PEEPL Automation's Manual Thermoforming Machine is a lightweight and convenient tool for forming rigid plastic blister trays and lids. It is suitable for short-run production, trial-packaging, and low-volume manufacturing and allows full operator control of the forming as well as cutting operations.

With a vacuum forming process, this equipment molds plastic sheets into strong blister trays that find application in electronics, hardware, medical equipment, auto parts, and retail packaging. It's perfect for companies that need accuracy, dependability, and customization without depending on computerized systems.

The machine employs manual vacuum thermoforming to form rigid plastic sheets into tray or lid configurations. The heat is applied through ceramic heaters, with a digital temperature controller providing accurate control over multiple heating zones. With the sheet having reached forming temperature, a pneumatic cylinder pushes the sheet against a die to create the intended cavity or layout.

Vacuum forming type: rigid plastic (hard blister)

Temperature control: 12 zones, up to 300°C

Die size: 450 mm x 250 mm (special size)

750 W x 12 Nos ceramic heater

80 x 400 mm pneumatic system cylinder

SS304 stainless steel structure

3-phase electrical, equipped with vacuum pump and switch panel

This setup is capable of making hard blister packaging with good shape definition, ideal for display and protective packaging.

Cutting Procedure

After the thermoforming stage, the blister sheet is cut manually at a dedicated cutter station. The operator trims all four edges to create a neat, rectangular finish for the tray, ensuring uniformity for the next steps in the process.

Stage 1 – Manual Cutter

The operator trims the edges.

Prepares the tray for the final edge trimming.

Ensures accurate dimensions and shape.

Stage 2 – Pedal-Operated Cutter

Next, the tray is moved to a pedal-operated cutting station featuring a wooden die. A pneumatic press shapes the tray to its final dimensions.

Key Features:

Pneumatic cylinder: 200 mm diameter × 300 mm stroke

Wooden die with designed blade layout

Aluminum frame, foot switch, solenoid valve

Manual operation ensures precision and safety

Applications

The Manual Thermoforming Machine equipped with cutting units is designed for the production of rigid blister trays in small quantities. It is particularly suitable for:

Packaging in electronics, hardware, and medical fields

Custom cutting of trays and lids

Production of samples and pilot runs

This system delivers reliable performance for short-run blister packaging without relying on automation.
